Non-Investment Social Measures for the Provision of Family Relief Services (FED)

This funding is aimed at providers of Family Relief Services (FED) in Thuringia. The goal is to ensure and maintain low-threshold care services for people with disabilities and to relieve their relatives. Eligible applicants specifically include welfare organizations, non-profit organizations, and church communities.

The program supports specific social pedagogical offerings and measures by Family Relief Services aimed at caring for people with disabilities and supporting their relatives. Necessary material and personnel expenses for full-time specialists are funded, while services from other mobile services or statutory service providers are excluded.

The program provides non-repayable grants as project funding with co-financing. The grant for personnel expenses can amount to up to 60 percent of the eligible costs, while material expenses are subsidized up to 5,000 EUR per family relief service.

Various conditions and requirements must be met for funding, including ensuring a need for the services offered, employing qualified personnel, and adhering to a self-contribution. Additionally, specific documentation and proof obligations must be observed.

The application for funding must be submitted in writing to the Thuringian State Administrative Office by October 31 of the preceding year for the following funding year. The application requires detailed information on the conceptual design, the need, and financing plans. Approval is granted by written grant notification, and disbursement occurs upon request.

The funding is based on the Guideline for the Promotion of Non-Investment Social Measures for the Implementation of Family Relief Services (FED) in the Free State of Thuringia, which is supplemented by the Thuringian State Budget Code and its administrative regulations.
